Teenager Jumps Into Jhelum River In Sopore, Dies

Sopore: A teenage boy ended his life by jumping into a river in the Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday evening.

Quoting an official, Kashmir Scroll reported that a 16-year-old boy from Noorbagh Sopore committed suicide near Chankhan Bridge Sopore by jumping into river Jhelum.

He said that locals rushed to the spot and rescued the boy following which he was shifted to SDH (Sub district hospital) Sopore.

However, he was declared dead on arrival by the doctors.
