Kupwara: A 16-year-old boy was injured after being stabbed by a mate in Villgam area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, official sources said.
As per sources, an altercation broke out between two boys while taking bath in Kehmil water body in Villgam this afternoon. Soon, the verbal quarrel turned into a scuffle.
“A boy identified as Areez Ahmad Ahangar (16), son of Javed Ahmad and a resident of Mirpora, Trehgam stabbed other boy namely Saqib Ashraf, son of Mohammad Ashraf and a resident of Dingree,Trehgam with a sharp object.”
"The injured boy was immediately taken to SDH (sub district hospital) Kupwara for treatment, where his overall condition is said to be stable", they said.
Police said that a case has been registered.
