Srinagar: A girl was electrocuted to death in the HMT area of central Kashmir’s Srinagar on Saturday, officials said.
An official identified the deceased as Zeenat Nazir (15), daughter of Nazir Ahmad Sheikh.
She was a resident of Tangdhar, Kupwara, and was presently residing at HMT Srinagar, he said.
“Zeenat received an electric shock and fell unconscious.”
The official added that soon after the incident, she was taken to the hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead on arrival.
Meanwhile, the police have initiated an investigation.
