Ganderbal: A 15-year-old boy drowned to death while taking bath in Rangil in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Monday evening.
Officials identified the teen as Azmat Ahmad Wani, son of Bilal Ahmad Wani and a resident of Rangpora Illahibagh.
He drowned in the Master Plan at Rangil, while he was taking a bath, the official said.
Locals said that the police was informed soon after his drowning and a rescue operation was launched to retrieve the boy.
Soon after being retrieved, the boy was shifted to a nearby hospital and was referred to SKIMS, Soura where he succumbed.
