Sumbal: On Monday morning, a brother who was hospitalised at SKIMS (Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences, Primary Hospital) in Srinagar after his sister, (18) drowned to death while trying to save him from drowning at Shahtul Pora area in Sumbal, north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Sunday, has succumbed.
An official said that Nazakat Ali (21) who was admitted at SKIMS Soura after being referred from JVC ((Jhelum Valley Medical College) Hospital the previous day, succumbed despite all the necessary treatment.
A pall of gloom has descended over the native and adjacent villages following the tragic drowning of two siblings.
The incident occurred yesterday and has left the community in shock.
