Srinagar: Srinagar police launched an anti-bribery helpline number on Monday directing citizens of the Srinagar district to report demands, bribes or favours from any officer or police personnel.
The helpline number 9596770502 is directly supervised by the SSP.
“General Public is requested to bring to light any demand of bribe or favor from any officer/ personnel of district police at 9596770502,” Srinagar police said.
“This number is directly under the supervision of SSP Srinagar,” police said in a tweet.
The development is the impetus for transparent policing, hassle-free and citizen-centric services, police added.
