Srinagar: A Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) personnel died after falling off a building in the Pandrethan area of Srinagar, officials said on Wednesday.
Sashastra Seema Bal is a border guarding force of India deployed mostly along its borders with Nepal and Bhutan.
An official has identified the deceased as Constable Anuj Kumar of 151 Battalion, A/coy SSB.
As per reports, he fell from the building at Geology and Mining department in Pandrethan.
He said that the constable was shifted to hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident.
