Srinagar: Police have busted a notorious gang involved in honey trapping activities in central Kashmir’s Srinagar city. The gang, consisting of four members, was apprehended on Thursday evening.
Honey trapping – is a deceptive tactic used to entrap individuals using charm and seduction.
The gang members, have been identified as 1.Firdous Ahmed Mir of Rainawari (fake SP) 2.Mohd Tariq Mir of lal bazar( Fake reporter) 3.Ashiya of Bemina (pseudo honey trap girl) 4.Masrat Mir of Habba kadal (fake crime branch officer).
“The Girl used to set up meeting with the gullible person. The other members of gang would impersonate as professionals like reporters/police & then blackmail the victim. One house of female accused in Mehjoor Nagar,” Police said in a tweet.
