Srinagar: A TADA (Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act) court has denied bail to dozens of Hurriyat and JKLF activists who were arrested during a hotel raid earlier this year and subsequently charged under the UAPA (Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act).
ย
The decision was made by a special TADA Court, which rejected the bail plea put forth by 10 activists associated with JKLF and Hurriyat.ย
ย
As per police, their arrests had taken place in July, prompted by credible intelligence suggesting a meeting involving former militants of JKLF and erstwhile separatists at a Srinagar hotel.ย
ย
The police had disclosed that the purpose of this meeting was to discuss plans for the revival of JKLF and Hurriyat.ย
