Srinagar: The Jammu-Srinagar highway was closed for traffic on Thursday due to shooting stones reported in the Ramsoo and Banihal areas, according to an official.
Officials said that the authorities took this step as continuous heavy rains triggered erratic shooting stones in those locations.
Furthermore, the Traffic Police, through their official handle, has advised people to avoid travelling on NHW until the road is cleared.
Restoration efforts, involving both men and machinery, are actively underway, as mentioned in the post.
Reportedly, Mughal Road and Srinagar-Sonamarg Road are already closed for traffic movement due to snowfall.
