BANDIPORA, April 20 — The Chief Education Officer (CEO) of Bandipora ordered the suspension of classwork up to Class 8 in all government and private middle and high schools across the district on Sunday, following continued rainfall and snowfall that have led to challenging weather conditions.
A similar measure was also implemented in Leh and Kargil, where schools were closed due to the severe weather.
In an official statement, the CEO of Bandipora noted, “Given the ongoing rainfall and snowfall, classwork has been suspended for students up to Class 8.”
However, teaching staff in all affected districts have been instructed to report to their respective institutions as usual.
