Ukrainian officials say a Russian strike on a maternity hospital in the besieged south-eastern city of Mariupol on Wednesday has killed three people amid the two counterparts of Russia and Ukraine have held face to face talks in Turkey.
"Three people were killed, including a female child were killed when a strike hit a maternity hospital in Ukraine’s besieged Mariupol, according to updated figures this morning," the city council said.
Meanwhile the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Kuleba have held face-to-face talks in Antalya, Turkey and Turkish diplomat Mevlut Cavusoglu is mediating.

Mevlut Cavusoglu also said there was a need for both a humanitarian corridor from Mariupol to allow for civilians to be evacuated from the city and for a sustainable ceasefire in Ukraine.
“The meeting was an important start. No one should expect miracles at one meeting,” he told reporters. Cavusoglu brokered the talks between Lavrov and Kuleba as Turkey pushes to position itself as a mediator in the conflict.
Moreover, Ukraine government says it has opened seven humanitarian corridors through which civilians can be evacuated to safety.
