Three more army personnel who were injured during the ongoing encounter have succumbed to their injuries at Command Hospital Udhampur.

Earlier, Army in a statement said that two personnel were killed while three others including an officer have been injured after militants triggered an explosive during the anti-militancy operation in the Kandi forest area.

Notably, an encounter broke out between militants and forces in the Kandi forest area in Rajouri district on Friday morning.

Following the fierce gunfight, internet services were also suspended in the area as a precautionary measure, it added.
