Srinagar: Protests erupted in Government Medical College, Srinagar after a non-local medical student allegedly shared a blasphemous post against the last Islamic Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) on WhatsApp.
Scores of medical students including doctors held a protest demonstration against the post who allegedly sent a picture depicting the prophet.
One of the protestors said they had given three hours to the non-local student to remove the offending display picture but he refused to do it.
Earlier, a similar incident unfolded at NIT Srinagar.
