‘Property Owner not an OGW’ Family of Killed Civilian Protests for Body

Srinagar: Family of the civillian identified as Altaf Ahmad Bhat who was killed in Hyderpora Encounter is rejecting the Police version that the owner of property where two unidentified militants were killed was a militant associate.

"One of his family members said the deceased had a cement shop and he was owner of a complexi n Hyderpora where the firing took place today evening," KDC reported.

โ€œMy uncle has been murdered. He was used as a human shield in a staged encounter.ย  He runs a hardware shop and owns the complex where the forces had come for checking, his Niece Saima said," The Kashmir Walla reported.

"There was no gunfight in that complex. He was taken three times as human shield for checking and when they couldnโ€™t find anything, he was killed there."

Reportedly, the family is protesting at the midnight in Barzulla area of Kashmir Capital Srinagar.

Earlier, Kashmir Police Zone Tweeted that the house owner who was injured in (militant) fire, succumbed to his injuries. (Militants) have been hiding on top floor of his building. As per source and digital evidence, he has been working as (militant) associate. Search is still going on.

Two unidentified militants and a civilian โ€“ owner of the property where the encounter took place were killed on Monday evening.ย
