Property Attached in Shopian Under UAPA

Shopian, March 3 — Police on Monday attached a double-storied residential property in Shopian under Section 25 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), 1967.
 
The property, belonging to Ilyas Ahmad Dar, son of Mohd Shafi Dar, and located in Wandina Melhoura, is registered under Khasra No. 115 and valued at ₹24,09,221. 
 
Police said the attachment has been recorded in revenue records, and legal notices prohibiting its sale or transfer have been issued under UAPA provisions.
 
According to a police spokesperson, the action is linked to Case FIR No. 94/2024 of Police Station Zainapora and was carried out in the presence of a police team and the Executive Magistrate, ensuring compliance with legal procedures.
 
Police, in coordination with other agencies, remain committed to taking stringent action against individuals and entities involved in activities that threaten national security and integrity, the statement added.
