Pir Panchal: The vehicular movement on the Jammu-Rajouri-Poonch highway between Bhata Dhurian and Jarran Wali Gali has been restored in Pir panchal’s Poonch district on Sunday morning after remaining closed for three days.
The traffic was suspended following a suspected militant attack in which five army personnel were killed while they were travelling in a vehicle at an isolated mountainous road on Thursday.
Traffic on the highway was closed from Thursday late afternoon after militants attacked an army vehicle near Tota Gali in which five army personnel lost their lives while one is injured, an official said.
The highway was closed from last three days between BG and Jarran Wali Gali with traffic being diverted through Mendhar, he said.
From Sunday morning, the highway has been restored and vehicular movement is now allowed, he added.
