Ganderbal: Police in Ganderbal have seized illicit timber at Hayanpalpora in Kangan area of Ganderbal.
Police party of Police Station Kangan under the close supervision of SDPO Syed Yasir Qadri-JKPS raided the particular spot and seized illicit timber from one person identified as Abdul Karim Kumar, a resident of Hayanpalpora Kangan.
However, the accused person involved in the commission of crime managed to escape from spot and efforts are on to effect his arrest.
The drive against timber smugglers will continue to ensure protection of green gold, Police said in a statement.
