Srinagar: A man from Jammu and Kashmir’s Kistwar was arrested on Saturday for working as an agent of Pakistan based intelligence agency, police said.
In a statement, Police said based on a joint input generated by Kishtwar Police ,11 RR and MI, Kishtwar Police along with 11 RR army arrested one person namely Abdul Wahid, a resident of Chergi Doo.
“Wahid was working as an agent for Pakistan based intelligence agency and was providing secret information of various police establishment & security forces to Pakistan based handler through various social media platforms,” the statement reads.

It reads that on this information a case FIR No 211/2022 U/sec. 03 EAO Act has been registered at Kishtwar Police station and investigation has been taken up.
As per police, the accused has confessed his involvement.
“Some more arrests are expected in near future,” it added.
