Srinagar: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) general secretary Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura has resigned from his post in the party as a member of political affairs committee.
He has submitted his resignation to party president Mehbooba Mufti.
“I do hereby resign from the post of general secretary of the party and as member of the political affairs committee today because of my personal engagements," he said, in a communiqué to PDP president Mehbooba Mufti.

"However, I will continue to work as basic member of the party,” it added.
