A young Palestinian man has succumbed to his injuries after being shot by Israeli forces days earlier when they fired live rounds to suppress a protest in occupied west bank.
The official Palestinian news agency Wafa, citing medical sources, reported that 23-year-old Ahmad Hikmat Saif, died of his serious injuries early on Wednesday.
“Israeli troops shot the young man with three live rounds in his chest and abdomen last week during skirmishes that erupted when the forces stormed the village of Burqa, located 10.7 kilometers (6.6 miles) northwest of Nablus,” local sources said.

Saif underwent several surgeries and remained in a critical condition at the Intensive Care Unit in a hospital in Nablus until he passed away.
Medical director of the An-Najah National University Hospital in Nablus, Dr. Abdul-Karim Barqawi, said the young Palestinian man suffered severe bleeding as one of the bullets had severed a main artery and require intensive treatment because bullets had seriously damaged his internal organs.
On 6 March, Two teenagers were killed by Israeli foreces; 16-year-old Yamin Nafez Jaffal and 19-year-old Kareem Jamal al-Qawasmi.
On March 4, a 13-year-old Palestinian was shot and seriously wounded during clashes with the Israeli army in Hebron.
On March 1, Israeli forces killed two Palestinians before dawn after coming under fire during an arrest raid in the northern West Bank. Another Palestinian was killed in a separate incident that day.
On February 22, Israeli military forces also shot a 14-year-old Palestinian boy dead near Bethlehem. The Israeli military said in a statement that the teen, Mohammed Shehadeh, was throwing a Molotov cocktail before being shot by soldiers in the West Bank town of al-Khader.
