Pakistani forces engaged in a gunfire exchange with fighters during what was described as an "intelligence-based operation" in the Khaisoor area of North Waziristan district, according to a military press release.
In the course of the operation, four fighters, including an individual referred to as "Ibrahim," identified as a "high-value target," were killed.
The military statement said that a cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives was recovered during the raid.
“Ongoing efforts are being made to search the surrounding areas for any fighters in hiding.”
According to the military statement, the Security Forces of Pakistan express a strong determination to eliminate the threat of ‘terrorism’ within the country.
