Srinagar: Over 95 percent qualified 8th class examinations as the State Council of Educational Research and Training on Monday declared results for hard and soft zones of Jammu, and Kashmir divisions.
An official said that in both hard and soft zones, at least 95.02 percent students from the government schools have qualified the exams including 93.85 in Jammu division and 95.85 in Kashmir division respectively.
He said that 98.58 percent students of private schools in both soft and hard zones have also qualified the exams. "97.84 percent students of private schools from Jammu and 95.53 from Kashmir division have qualified the exams."
The official said that a total of 17,554,7 students were enrolled for the exams and 16,956,4 candidates qualified the exams.
