Srinagar: Over 275 posts of different categories are vacant at the SMHS (Shri Mahraja Hari Singh) hospital in Srinagar, reveals RTI Data.
The data was revealed after a social activist, MM Shuja filed an application under the Right to Information Act.
The hospital authorities said that at least 2169 patients have died due to multiple causes within a span of 9 months at SMHS Hospital from January 2022 to September 2022.
It also revealed that it has conducted 15726 surgeries during the same period of time.
The hospital records reveal that it has done 14177 registrations of patients under the Golden Card Scheme for which it has established 6 registration counters.
As far as the development of new infrastructure is concerned, the hospital has said that no such new structures were erected, however, there is a project (separate OT Block) under progress within the premises of the SMHS Hospital which is about to be completed in the near future.
