Srinagar/Jammu, March 18 — The Jammu and Kashmir government informed the Assembly that 2,093 kanals of land were allotted to non-local investors over the past two years.
Responding to a question by PDP MLA Waheed Para, who sought details on non-local land allotments, the government revealed that the land was distributed at SIDCO Industrial Estate, including:
275 kanals to RSWM Ltd
222 kanals to Grew Energy Pvt Ltd (Unit-I)
424 kanals to Grew Energy Pvt Ltd (Unit-II) in Kathua’s Bhagthali-I.
At Bhagthali-II, companies like Advance Films Pvt Ltd, Greenquest Alu Foils Pvt Ltd, Haldiram Snacks, Sintex Advanced Plastics Ltd, and Ceylon Beverages Can Pvt received land.
In Srinagar, EMAAR Group UAE got 130 kanals.
