Srinagar: In the view of the fresh snowfall across Kashmir valley. The authorities on Friday said that only 4×4 and vehicles with anti-skid chains will be allowed to visit Gulmarg and vice-verse as the road conditions remain slippery.
According to an order, SDM (Sub-District Magistrate) Gulmarg said the move has been taken to prevent accidents and long lasting traffic jams.
“To prevent accidents and long lasting traffic jams due to slippery road, which puts the commuters to much inconvenience, only 4×4 vehicles and those with anti-skid chains shall be allowed from Tangmarg to Gulmarg and vice versa till the thawing of the ice from the road,” it reads.
