Srinagar: An OGW (Overground worker) was arrested with an AK-47 and other ammunition in the Keegam area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Monday.
He was arrested after a CASO was launched by Shopian Police and 44 RR (Indian Army) in the Daramdora Keegam area of Shopian, an official said.
He said that during the search operation, an OGW of the Lashkar-e-Toiba outfit identified as Tanveer Ahmad Wani, son of Bashir Ahmad Wani and a resident of Daramdora village in Shopian district was arrested.
He said one AK-47, one magazine, 10 AK rounds and a bag was recovered from his possession.
He said that a case in this regard has been registered and further investigation has been taken up.
