Srinagar, 9 January 2025: The Meteorological Department has forecast no major weather activity in Jammu and Kashmir until January 16, with predominantly dry conditions prevailing across the region.
An official from the Meteorological Centre Srinagar stated that dry weather with occasional cloudiness is expected until the evening or night of January 10.
Light rain may occur in Jammu plains on January 11, with chances of snowfall over isolated higher reaches in Jammu and Kashmir, he said.
From January 12 to 14, dry weather is likely to continue, while light snowfall at isolated to scattered locations is possible between January 15 and 16.
Cold wave conditions are expected to continue in some areas. Travelers, tourists, and transporters are advised to follow administrative and traffic department guidelines.
