NIA Team Reaches Rajouri, Takes Over Probe

Srinagar: A special team of the National Investigation Agency on Tuesday reached Dangri village of Pir Panjalโ€™s Rajouri district where six civilians were killed by armed men suspected to be militants on Sunday evening.ย 

Sources said that a special team of NIA reached Dangri village today morning.

They said the probe agency team has reached the crime scene spot and is likely to take over the investigation.ย

Notably, 4 civilians were killed while 6 others were injured after suspected militants stormed Dangri village on Sunday evening. The next morning, two minor children were also killed in a blast that went off in one of the houses of the slain civilians in Danger village.

The attack created panic and fear among the locals, while security agencies are trying to ascertain details about the attack.

On Monday, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha also reached Dangri village to review the situation and express solidarity with the victimโ€™s families.

He also assured that security agencies will go to the bottom of the incident and ensure justice for the victimโ€™s families.
