Srinagar: The National Investigation Agency (India’s Top Probing agency) on Wednesday attached (the legal term for seizure) six shops built up on 5.5 Marlas of the land of an accused OGW (overground worker) involved in (Lethpora Fidayeen Attack case) that occurred during the intervening night of 30/31 December 2017 when five troopers and two local militants were killed in a gunfight after heavily armed militants stormed a CRPF camp at Lethpora in Awantipora in Pulwama district, 30 km from Srinagar.
News agency KDC quoted an official saying that the property belonging to an accused OGW identified as Fayaz Ahmad Magray, son of Late Jalalud Din Magray, resident of Tehsil Awantipora has been attached by NIA.
Magray has been an accused in the NIA case number RC-10/2018/NIA/DLI. Initially, the case under FIR 150/2017 was registered at Awantipora Police station. Later, the case was taken by NIA on 27.02.2018.

“The 6 shops that were built on 5.5 Marlas land under survey no 2664 Min at Lethpora has been attached by a team of NIA officials under the provisions of Unlawful Activities prevention act 1967 vide order dated 24-04-2023 of NIA court Jammu,” the official said.
“Accused Fayaz Ahmad Magray was an active associate (OGW) of slain local terrorist Noor Mohd. Tantray and played an active role in planning and execution of the lethpora attack,” he said.
Notably, militant Tantary was killed four days before the lethpora attack and in the same district.
Later, JeM claimed responsibility of the attack.
