Srinagar: A 37-year-old Prisoner died after ‘falling from a sub-jail building’ in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district this afternoon, officials said.
They identified the deceased as Mohammad Yousuf Bhat, son of Abdul Aziz Bhat and a resident of the Prangroo Mawer area, Handwara.
"When he was evacuated to SDH Kupwara, the doctors declared him as brought dead on arrival," they added.
The person was accused in an NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985) case.
