Bandipora: In a strict action, the National Conference (NC) expelled its district president for Bandipora, Mir Gulam Rasool Naz, after he failed to attend a party convention presided over by former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in the district.

The announcement came during a gathering of party workers at the Block office, where Omar Abdullah, the partyโ€™s vice-president, made it clear that maintaining strict adherence to party discipline is of utmost importance. Consequently, Ghulam Rasool Naz has been removed from his position for his absence at the party convention today.

Omar Abdullah emphasized, "We will not tolerate any indiscipline within the party."

Mir Gulam Rasool Naz, a two-time Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Bandipora, has held various positions within the party at the district level over the years.
