Six Civilians Injured in Sumbal Grenade Attack

Bandipora: Woman among six civilians injured after suspected militants lobbed a grenade at Sumbal bridge in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Tuesday. 

 
They said the injured have been shifted to Community Health Center (CHC) Sumbal for treatment from where, three were shifted to JVC Srinagar for futher treatment. 
 
A senior police officer told GNS that militants lobbed Grenade towards security forces in sumbal, however the the Grenade missed the intended target and exploded on roadside.
 
Hospital authorities identified the injured as Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat of Safapora, Tasleema wife of Abdul Hameed Malla of Markundal, Faroz Ahmad son of Bashir Ahmad, Mohammad Altaf of Maloora, Faisal Ahmad of Safapora and Abdul Hameed Malla. 
 
They further said the condition of all the injured is said to be stable. 
 
The officials also said that the police is probing the attack.
