Srinagar: IGP Inspector General of Police Vijay Kumar has identified the unidentified militant killed in Srinagar’s Harwan gunfight as a top commander Saifulla Alais Abu Khalid of LeT, a resident of Karachi Pakistan, IGP said.
“Khalid was a resident of Karachi, Pakistan, active since 2016 in the Harwan- Dhara belt,” he said.
“In wee hours, he was killed in a Brief exchange of firing at Dhara Harwan area of Central Kashmir’s Srinagar on Sunday.”
Earlier, Police said a joint team including Police and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Harwan.
