Anantnag: Six alleged militants have been arrested by J&K police and a shop belonging to one of the accused seized in the killing case of a circus worker from Udhampur who was shot dead by suspected militants earlier this year in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
In a statement, Police said that six militants were arrested who were associated with Kashmir Freedom Fighter, an offshoot of Proscribed outfit JEM during the investigation of Deepak Kumar’s killing case.
They have been identified as Sehran Bashir Nadaf, son of Bashir Ahmad Nadaf, resident of Shirpora Deva Colony, Ubaid Nazir Laigroo, son of Nazir Ahmad Laigroo, resident of Shirpora New Colony, Umer Amin Thoker son of Mohd Amin resident of Waghama, Huzaif Shabir Bhat, son of Shabir Ahmad Bhat resident of Wachi Shopian, Nasir Farooq Shah, son of Farooq Ahmad Shah resident of Wanteng Mohalla Bijbehara and Suveed Showkat Bhat son of Lt Showkat Ahmad Bhat, resident of Fatehpora. Ahmad Shah resident of Wanteng Mohalla Bijbehara and Suveed Showkat Bhat son of Lt Showkat Ahmad Bhat resident of Fatehpora.

However, their ages haven’t been revealed by Police.
Moreover, a shop located at Zirpara Bijbehara, run by accused Umer Amin Thoker was seized under UAPA by District Police Anantnag", reads the statement.
