Srinagar: The Jammu-Srinagar highway has been blocked due to a mudslide at Mehad area of Ramban district and shooting stones at Kishtwari Pather, Banihal, amid rains.
According to officials, the thoroughfare was partially restored for traffic, allowing stranded vehicles between Nashree and Banihal to proceed. However, mudslides at Mehad, Ramban, and shooting stones at Kishtwari Pather, Banihal, once again blocked the highway.
Also, Mughal Road, connecting Kashmir Valley’s Shopian district with Pir Panchal’s Rajouri and Poonch, remained closed and shall remain till further notice following fresh snowfall, officials added.
