MS CD Hospital Seeks Necessary Arrangement Before Shifting Hospital to GB Panth

Srinagar: Medical Superintendent CD (Chest Disease) hospital, Dalgate on Friday has written to the executive engineer MH&CH Srinagar to inspect support systems and carry out rectifications of whatever is needed on an emergency basis at GB Panth hospital before shifting CD hospital there.

"As per the above Govt order and order issued by the Principal /Dean Govt Medical College Srinagar, Childrenโ€™s Hospital (an associated hospital of GMC Sgr) has been shifted to 500 bedded hospital at Bemina and consequent upon that and as per orders mentioned above references Govt.CD Hospital is to be shifted to GB Panth hospital Sonwar. It is requested that following support systems may be inspected and whatever rectifications needed may be done on an emergency basis," reads the letter.ย

The support systems to be inspected and ensured include an oxygen plant and piping system to every bed of GB Panth hospital, generators for backup of electricity need to be serviced and kept ready, Central heating system may be inspected and kept ready for the coming winter, and Firefighting system also needs to be kept ready, Laundry section also needs to be inspected and whatever rectification is needed may be done and Water pumping facility may be checked and kept ready, it said.ย

"It is requested that the above-mentioned support system may be kept updated and ready for use before shifting of CD Hospital to GB Panth Hospital, reads the letter.
