Budgam: A two year old minor boy was found dead with deep marks on his throat and neck in the Kechwari area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam, with the family alleging that masked assailants broke into their home during the night and slit his throat with a knife.
According to a report by the news agency KNO, an official source stated that the infant’s body was discovered under mysterious circumstances during the night between Monday and Tuesday, showing visible wounds on his neck.
The victim has been identified as Zeeshan Ahmad Kalas, son of Bilal Ahmad Kalas, a resident of Kechwari Khansahib.
Other officials said that the mother and son were sleeping when masked individuals gagged the mother and slit the infant’s throat.
Authorities have initiated an investigation, and the body will be handed over to the family after medico-legal formalities are completed.
