Srinagar: A 6-year-old boy died after he fell in a pond behind his school in Sedow area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Tuesday.
He has been identified as Farhan Muzaffar (06) son of Muzaffar Ahmad Lone of Sedow Heerpora.
An official said the boy was mentally unsound and fell into the dam during lunch time.
He said that soon after the incident the boy rescued by locals was taken to PHC Sedow where he was declared dead on arrival.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident.
