Srinagar: A policeman was killed while his daughter sustained injures after suspected militants on tuesday fired upon him in Soura area of Srinagar city, officials said.
Militants fired upon a cop near Soura. In this incident cop was killed and his daughter recieved bullet wounds, a police officer said.
Both were shifted to SKIMS hospital for treatment, where the cop succumbed to his injuries, he said.
The cop has been identified as Saifulla Qadri son of Mohd Syed Qadri, a resident of Malik Sahib Soura.
Soon after the incident whole area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.
