Handwara: A militant was arrested after he was injured in a brief shootout in Langate area of North Kashmir ‘s Handwara district, police said.
He has been identified as Abrar, son of Gh Hassan Gojri, a resident of Azadgunj, Baramulla.
Militants attacked government forces party in Langate area of Handwara in retaliation one newly recruited militant was injured, an officer said.
He also said that the militant was arrested in injured condition and he has joined the militant ranks recently.
The detained militant was earlier a stone pelter, two FIRs were already registered against him and working as an OGW, Police added.
