Srinagar: PDP president Mehbooba Mufti announced on Saturday that she could not attend the opposition INDIA alliance meeting in New Delhi, citing her mother’s eye surgery.
"I am not able to attend the meeting because my mother has undergone eye surgery," she stated.
The opposition group’s top leaders met in New Delhi this afternoon to assess their performance in the parliamentary polls and strategize for the future.
Both the National Conference (NC) and PDP were invited. NC President Farooq Abdullah travelled to New Delhi from Srinagar on Saturday morning.
