Mehbooba Claims ‘No Militant was killed in Hyderpora’ Asks LG to Apologize

Srinagar: Mehbooba Mufti on Sunday lead a protest rally from Gupkar Road to the Raj Bhavan (Governor Office in Srinagar) to protest against the recent civilians killings in Hyderpora.ย

"They (police) say there was a militant. Where is killed militant? Where is his photo? We believe there was no militant and three civilians were killed and after that, they were declared as OGW,โ€ she said during a protest march against the Hyderpora incident.

LG Manoj Sinha should apologise. and there should be a judicial probe,โ€ she added.
ย 
She said people no longer seek justice but ask only for bodies.

Meanwhile, L-G Sinha on Saturday promised that those found guilty will not be spared.

โ€œAn incident has taken place regarding a law and order and those found guilty will not be spared,โ€ L-G Sinha said in Jammu.

However, a magisterial inquiry has also been ordered into the controversial gunfight but the families has rejected the magisterial probe and demand judicial investigation.ย

Pertinently, four people among three civilians were killed in Hyderpora earlier this week, the police has said two of them were OGWs (Over Ground Workers) or militant associate.ย
