Pulwama: Top Lashkar-i-Taiba Commander Riyaz Ahmad Dar and an OGW (Overground Worker) were killed in a military operation in the Nihama area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday, June 3.
The militant has been identified as Riyaz Ahmad Dar, a resident of Sethar Gund Kakapora, while the OGW has been identified as Rayees Ahmad, a resident of Lerve Kakapora, Pulwama.
According to officials, Riyaz Ahmad Dar was one of the oldest surviving militants and had been active for the past eight years.
Reports said the residential house where the militants were fighting with forces was blazed in the operation.
