Sopore: A 45-year-old man from Kupwara jumped into the Jhelum river at the Chakhan area of Sopore in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Monday and a search/rescue operation was immediately launched.
An official identified him as Ali Mohammed Wani, (45) son of Atta Mohammed, a resident of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
He said following the incident, a team was immediately rushed to the spot to launch a search and rescue operation
He added search operation was going on to trace the man’s body and further details will be shared accordingly.
