Kupwara Man Arrested by ED in MBBS Admission Money Laundering Case

Kupwara: A local resident of North Kashmirโ€™s Kupwara was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday for his alleged involvement in a money laundering case connected to MBBS admissions of J&K students in Pakistan.

In a post on โ€˜Xโ€™: ED said that Mohammad Abdullah Shah, a resident of Kupwara was arrested under the provisions of PMLA, 2002 in connection with a money laundering case.ย

The accused is a close aid of Pakistani Citizen Manzoor Ahmad Shah, who arranged admissions in MBBS & other courses in different colleges of Pakistan for students of J&K, the post addedย

Additionally, the accused was presented before the CBI court, which has ruled for his custody with the ED until February 13, as detailed in the subsequent post.
