Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Power Employees and Workers United Front (J&KPEWUF) took to the streets on Saturday in protest against the delay in receiving their salaries, and the non-fulfillment of promises regarding regularization and promotions.
A significant number of J&KPEWUF members gathered at Srinagar’s press enclave, chanting slogans in support of their demands.
According to reports, protesters expressed their disappointment with the government’s failure to fulfill its commitments regarding their regularization and promotions.
“Despite promises made by the government, not a single individual has seen their services regularized to date,” protestors said during the protest.
Protestors urged the authorities to promptly release their pending salaries and take action to regularize their employment as promised.
