Srinagar: Suspected militants shot dead a Kashmiri Pandit in the Choudhary Gund area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Saturday.
Official sources said that militants fired upon a Kashmiri Pandit who was identified as Pandit Poran Krishan Bhat, son of Tarak Nath Bhat -resident of Choudhary Gund Shopian
As per initial reports, he was shot from close range at his residence.
He was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead, they said.
Meanwhile, the whole area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.
