Srinagar: Kashmir Shuts on Friday in protest against the Hyderpora Killings.
All businesses establishments and public transportation remained off.
The call for a complete shutdown was given by two factions of All Parties Hurriyat Conference and Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association.
Officials said heavy deployment of the security forces has also been made at all the sensitive points to prevent any law and order problem.
It was the first Shutdown observed in Kashmir valley after the semi- autonomous status of Jammu and Kashmir was lost.
Authorities on Thursday exhumed the bodies of two civilians and returned them to their families who claim that they were used as human shields and killed in ‘cold blood’ during an alleged gunfight on Monday.
The bodies were buried in the Ancestral grave yard at around 1:30 AM.
The Jammu and Kashmir administration has called for a magisterial probe into the killings and asked for a report to be submitted within 15 days.
However, the family has rejected the magisterial probe and asked for a judicial inquiry.
