Israeli military on Friday night shot dead a Palestinian youth in Al-Aqsa Mosque when he was trying to re-enter the holy site after being removed, reports said.
Reportedly, forces accompanied by illegal settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque and evacuated several Muslim Palestinian worshippers.
The slain was identified as Mohammed Elasibi, a 26-year-old resident of the Bedouin town of Hura in Al-Naqab.
Israeli police claimed in a statement that the young man tried to grab weapon and was subsequently shot dead.
An eyewitness said that 20 gunshots we’re fired in less than a minute, and the youth succumbed near Bab Al-Silsila Gate.
As per the international law, Al Aqsa compound bars jewish activities despite that scores of settlers accompanied by Israeli troops storm the third holiest Islamic site.
